Recommended Maintenance Procedure for Mimaki JV3 Printer
1. DisWay Wash: located in the "Station menu" under "Maintenance." Should be performed every 2-3 days to clean the waste line to prevent clogging.
- With a lint free swab and Hilord's Analog Solution, clean the rubber
wiper, and then manually push the wiper back to its original position.
- Fill each head's capping station with Hilord's Analog Solution
3-4 times.
HEAD AND WIPER MAINTENANCE
1. Carriage Out: located in the "Station menu" under "Maintenance." Should be performed each morning, between large prints, between rolls, after the work day (if printing over night), and as needed.
- With a lint free swab and Hilord's Analog Solution, clean the rubber
wiper, and then manually push the wiper back to its original position.
- Manually slide the carriage to the right until the heads are visible
for cleaning.
- Using a lint free swab and Hilord's Analog Solution, gently wipe
any ink build-up surrounding each head. DO NOT WIPE THE SURFACE OF THE HEAD.
- Once completed, perform a "Normal Cleaning."
2. Cleaning type [NORMAL]: press [test/cleaning] button located on the control panel twice.
- Should be performed after the "DisWay Wash" and "Carriage
Out" maintenance and as needed.
- It is recommended to do this between prints if heavy prints are done and
when rolls are changed.
- Strongly recommended to never use the [STRONG] cleaning cycle.
